  • Nairobi Dam, bryncowley (guest) wrote 17 years ago:
We enjoyed sailing the dam in 1974-77, i was then a school boy at St Marys nairobi, with Simon Chritie a fellow student who was also frquently seen on Sunday winning most dingy races. I fished often but only ever caught small talapia. Like most most people we have very fond memories of Kenya an he people we met, so it is depresing or annoying to think that these things can be alowed to happen. But with politics as they are it's difficult to prevent. Thedam has had its weedy days at the other end, but the dam wall was more clear and sailing was possible in clear water. Now 2007, some 30 years later the inevitable has occured. But It is possibe to deal with. It requiresthe goverment incentive and support with the permission first which is i assume difficult to obtain? The 'Mzungu' comes second in comparison to the needs of Kibera, and its expanding population one assumes also.It is probably deliberate negligence agianst the interests of your enjoyment in other words. As if ithad been our money and goverment here in Uk, it would like many things in kenya be working by now and making a profit:-) OOGOO HOO wyya izz tha nugu treeeee? I wantoo theeeenk

  • St. Hannah's Preparatory School, Ngong Rd Campus and Wanjohi Consulting Engineers, aquanessie (guest) wrote 17 years ago:
to go to this school a while ago and it's just the best experience you could have. There is this wing in ngong road and another one in Karen, which was nearer where i lived, but chose this one for it's proximity to the city center. I would advise you to visit this school and enroll your child there. It's one of the best decisions you will ever make. By the way, the winner of the KCPE exam in 2005 attended this school.
