I was Head Prefect at the school in 1962, which is the year I graduated and completed Form 6 (Mr. Sadiq was the pricipal then). I have nothing but positive things to say about my time at the school, which had very high standards and excellent teachers who cared. I am quite sure that the school is flourishing under Principal Wainaina's tutelage, and I look forward to returning to Nairobi and visiting the school in the near future.

Jamhuri is a bad school as long as you have not been there. I spent my last two years of secondary here (2006-2007) I was able to unlock my potential academically, socially, sports wise and in leadership. Its the best school in mordern Africa.

One of the best places for mouthwatering fried, boiled (great soup) or roast goat. Atmosphere is so relaxed people drive miles just to come and mingle with the locals. Great place for a cold beer too.
