    Once upon a time (not that long ago), Kibera was a little dusty place that was famous for cheap goods. Today it is a sprawling slum of close to a million people packed into a 1 square mile area. Unsurprisingly, it breeds disease, crime and prostitution like nowhere else. It is reported to be the worst slum in the world set against the background of a city that has one of the world's best climates and ironically houses the UN's headquarters of HABITAT.
