Nyayo House-infamously called "The Nyayo Torture Chambers"- elicits very painful memories for political detainees during President Moi's reign. Many political activists who were detained there have given horrific accounts of systematic torture sanctioned by the erstwhile regime and abuse of human rights.

a friend of me,Moses Kimau, brought my washing machine, a LG , to Likoni because it did not work anymore at May 28, It would coast a few days. after more than 2 weeks we went overthere and the lady told me they were waiting for a relacement part from Korea and and would take another week and I would be called!! So we went again and that time we were told it was brought to Nairobi, I asked about Korea and she was anoyt about it, it would take another 2 weeks and yes we received a sms the machine was repaired,so we rented a vehicle to pick it up, but we were told the sms was from Nairobi!!!!! and it would take 1 day to get it to Mombasa and we would be called. To make a long story short: every day we were promissed the machine should be in mombasa that day and if not we would be called. The behaviour of your staff and promisses to call, which they Never did and when yoy call yourself, you never get the right person or answer. The service at hotpoint Likoni is below any level. I am a dayly customer and allmost everything in my home is from Nakumatt!! after all: to bring my machine coasted me ksh 2000, to go for it for nothing the same amount, picking it up at the end,the same and I am not talking about my tel. and fuel coast. Concluding: I am very disapointed in the service of Nakumatt
